Professional Bio

Master and graduate in Mathematics Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She is a researcher in Ethnomathematics and Dynamic Geometry. She is the winner of the 2021 Simón Bolívar Prize for the best master's thesis from the Latin American Committee for Educational Mathematics-CLAME. She completed a stay at the André Revuz Didactics Laboratory in France with Dr. Corine Castela with funds from CONCYTEC (2017). Principal researcher of the project on Ethnomathematics, winner of the Interuniversity and Multidisciplinary Research Award-2015 of the Consortium of Universities of Peru. Secretary of the International Study Group on Ethnomathematics. Former president (2012-2019) and founder of APINEMA: Peruvian Association for Research in Mathematics Education. Associate member of CLAME and founder of the Mathematics Education Community of South America. She is a speaker in Spain, Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Member of Organizing and Scientific Committees of Congresses. Author and co-author of publications on mathematics education.
