Dr. Alon Pinto received his BSc, MSc, and PhD in Mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, after which he transitioned to research in mathematics education. Pinto's research concerns teaching and teacher professional development at the tertiary and secondary levels, particularly in relation to how teachers can support students through mathematical transitions, such as the transition from secondary mathematics to proof-based mathematics.
