Professional Bio
Professor of Mathematics, Art History, and Film Studies. Founder and Chair of the Soifer (formerly Colorado) Mathematical Olympiad, 1983 - Present. Past President of the World Federation of National Mathematics Competitions (2012 - 2018); laureate of Paul Erdős Award (2006). Author of ca. 400 papers and 12 books, including "The Mathematical Coloring Book: Mathematics of Coloring and the Colorful Life of Its Creators."
