Professional Bio
Frances Rosamond is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Bergen, Norway. Previously, she chaired the Mathematics Teacher Education Bachelor Degree program at National University, California. In Informatics, she deals with difficult computational problems. Frances initiated the Creative Mathematical Sciences Communication (CMSC) conference series to encourage scientists in creating Computer Science Unplugged! activities: computer mathematics as storytelling and hands-on activities to captivate children’s imagination and invoke their interest. Her spouse Michael Fellows is co-author of Computer Science Unplugged! together with Tim Bell and Ian Witten (NZ). Together, Frances and Mike give workshops in Australia and worldwide.
