Oi-Lam Ng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include technology innovations in mathematics education, language and mathematics discourse, teacher noticing, and STEM education. Particularly, she is interested in advancing a Papert-inspired conception of “learning as Making,” and the new opportunities it entails for engaging learners in constructionist practices with emergent technologies (3D printing, coding, touchscreen applications, dynamic geometry environments, etc).
