Dr. Charity Cayton is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology Education at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Prior to joining the faculty at ECU, she taught high school math for 12 years in North Carolina and earned her NBCT in AYA Mathematics. Her research focuses on 1) preparing teachers to teach with technology, 2) teachers’ design and implementation of high-level tasks with a focus on technology and discourse, and 3) co-planning and co-teaching to enhance clinical experiences.
