Joo young Park is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering at Florida Tech, USA. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Columbia University in New York. Her research interests include enhancing data-driven modeling skills among STEM undergraduates, applied data science, and statistics education. She is currently engaged in the NSF-REU Site project "Statistical Modeling with Applications to Geoscience (SMAG)", which provides research experiences for undergraduate students.
