Gülseren Karagöz Akar is an associate professor of Mathematics Education at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. He research interests include the development of mathematical concepts through quantitative reasoning and the nature of mathematics teacher knowledge.
