Carola Manolino is an Assistant Professor with a Ph.D. in Pure and Applied Mathematics, specializing in Mathematics Education. She teaches two courses in Mathematics Education for students in primary education pedagogy. Her research interests include Lesson Study and learning in collaborative contexts from cultural and semiotic perspectives, which have been the focal points of her doctoral thesis. Another central focus in her work, indicative of a more mature development in research, is Inclusive Mathematics Education in the presence of sensory disabilities. She particularly studies the analysis of cognitive and educational processes in mathematical learning, adopting an embodied and multimodal approach, including interaction with assistive information technologies.
